Arkansas Co-ops Testify on Regulation of Energy Markets

On Tuesday, March 9th, Michael Henderson, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation (AECC), testified before the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources on financial transmission rights, congestion revenue rights, and other energy contracts. As derivative regulation reform moves through Congress, Mr. Henderson told the committee it is in the best interest of utility consumers to ensure that financial transmission rights and congestion revenue rights continue to be under the regulatory authority of the FERC and ERCOT.
