NRECA Urges Passage of Murkowski Resolution of Disapproval

NRECA believes that Congress should decide how to regulate greenhouse gases from stationary sources. NRECA continues to urge Congress to enact legislation that would prevent the use of the Clean Air Act to regulate greenhouse gases from stationary sources. Though Sen. Murkowski’s legislation, S.J. Res. 26, is broader than simply preventing regulation from stationary sources, NRECA supports moving forward with the Resolution as it is the only legislation that is guaranteed a vote. Likewise, if legislation like Sen. Rockefeller’s S. 3072 is brought to the Senate for a vote, we would strongly urge Senators to support it as well.
