2008 NRECA Health Insurance Options Summary
Benefits:
Medical Insurance:
Your choice of 3 comprehensive medical plans, which include our NRECA PPO Plan (using a National network of preferred providers); Aetna HMO (Open Access) or Kaiser Permanente HMO.
Vision Care:
100% reimbursement for annual eye exam and lenses
Dental Insurance:
100% reimbursement for diagnostic, preventative, basic services, and 80% for major services.
Section 125 Flexible spending Plan:
You may set aside pre-tax dollars for eligible health care and dependent care expenses. NRECA provides a generous match toward your Health Care FSA contributions.
Life Insurance:
100% Employer paid – Basic Life, Business Travel Accident, Dependent Life; with an option for employees to purchase additional Supplemental coverage.
Holidays:
Eleven paid holidays annually
Paid Time Off:
Eighteen days of Paid Time Off (PTO) annually, increasing with service.
Extended Illness:
Six days per calendar year.
Short Term Disability:
80% of base weekly salary up to 11 weeks beginning the third week of disability.
Long Term Disability:
Pays 66 2/3% of base salary for total disability due to accident or illness.
Defined Benefit Pension Plan:
Offers full vesting after five years of employment (eligible after one year of service). Lump sum available. No cost to the employee
401(k) Pension Plan:
Eligibility to contribute is within 31days of hire date, immediate vesting; generous Employer match after one year of service; includes 11 fund profiles to choose from and a Roth 401(k) investment option.
Educational Assistance:
Up to 100% with advance payment available.
Personal Investment & Retirement Consulting Program:
Individualized investment and retirement planning guidance, at no cost to employees.
PC Purchase Loan:
Interest free loan, up to $2,500. for computer equipment and software for personal use.
Legal Resources:
Group legal services available to participants for a low monthly fee.
Commuter Assistance Program:
Provides a transportation subsidy for employees commuting via mass transit, or you may choose subsidized parking within our underground parking facility.
Credit Union:
NRECA currently has 2 credit union options available to employees, Arlington VA Federal Credit Union (AVFCU) and Agriculture Federal Credit Union (AFCU) .
